British International Investment (previously CDC) is the UK’s Development Finance Institution, established in 1948 and wholly owned by the UK Government. BII has approximately $8 billion in assets with direct and indirect investments in Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean. Priority sectors include financial services, infrastructure, climate, healthcare, technology and agriculture. Investments are made in sustainable business models and gender equality.
