CEA-Liten

The Liten (Innovation Laboratory for New Energy Technologies and Nanomaterials) is part of the European effort to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and limit greenhouse gas emissions. The only institute present from the synthesis of materials to the complex demonstrator, the Liten offers its industrial partners a personalized technological offer and a digital offer for the sizing of energy systems. Based mainly in Grenoble and Chambéry, Liten is the first European institute entirely dedicated to new energy technologies. Its scientific expertise, the quality of its infrastructures and its teams, make it a key player in the energy transition. The research activities of the Liten Institute aim to meet the technological and economic challenges of three main areas: • renewable energies, in particular solar and bioresources • energy efficiency and energy storage: ecological mobility, building energy management, energy production chains (production, storage, conversion and management of electrical, thermal and gas vectors) • materials for energy, taking into account new environmental constraints
