In the role as Director of Operations, I keep a handle on the day-to-day running of our archaeological projects and programme delivery, making sure the business operations are working smoothly. As part of my role, I focus on business development and new projects, working project design and overall strategy for growth. Still an archaeologist at heart, I have a hand in the management of a couple of projects and continue to undertake research into my areas of interest. My current project portfolio includes: Dig Digital (reviewing Standards an guidance for digital data archives in archaeology), Options for Sustainable Archaeological Archives (managing the collaborative team of archive specialists in reviewing options of archives) and working with the Association of Detectorists to review the feasibility of a new Institute for Detectorists. And I still love looking at soapstone artefacts from the North Atlantic Region.
