Digital technology is a societal issue and in particular for national education, combining territorial, national and international projects. A young management with high added value, the Digital Education Department (DNE) defines the digital educational development policy, ensures its deployment and promotion. Created in 2014, the digital for education department's mission is to drive and support the digital transformation of the education system for the benefit of the entire educational community (school staff, students, parents, communities, etc.) as well as officials of the administration. It defines the strategic directions and the programming elements for digital education. The Department coordinates the digital aspect of the activity of school education operators (CNED, CANOPE, ONISEP, etc.) and leads the partnership policy with public and private actors in the digital sector. The digital department is also the animation of networks in the territory (academic digital educational delegations (DANE), information systems department (DSI) ...) and the management of national issues (exams, competitions, bank of resources, scholarships ...) These challenges and projects, as rich as they are varied, bring together 1,162,850 staff and influence 12,858,550 students.
