Ferry was created to be a Web 3 replacements for Web 2 tech. Centralized file transfer tools are wasteful by design, and the end users pay the costs. We wanted to create a familiar workflow for file transfers - one that mirrors what people are already comfortable with to easily complete every days tasks like simply sending files. By uploading files on to IPFS, we get it’s content address, which we can use to create an IPFS gateway which can be used as is or emailed to the user’s recipient. After this, all we need to do is - Ferry it!
