Within the liberal spirit that animates it, the Externado de Colombia University pursues the ideal of freedom as an inalienable right of the human being; has faith in democracy; struggle for the improvement of the Social State of Law, in the search for equality in the social and economic spheres, and respect for Fundamental Rights.
