Volta Charging

I was Volta's first mobile development full-time hire. Like any startup I've worn a plethora of hats. I've primarily been a technical contributor but also took the role of product manager, recruiter, api developer, tester, and data pipeline engineer. My first few months I worked with and transitioned the ownership of the mobile app from a 3rd party contractor group based in Prague to be fully in-house. I worked as the PM and technical contributor getting the app up to speed for launch. In early 2018 we launched the new app replacing our antiquated app written in ionic.Since then I've hired two more mobile engineers and we've added more features / improved the overall infrastructure. Beyond the mobile app I've worked on / implemented most of the Lambda functions the app relies on, AWS Cognito, Postgres, and our React web page application.I was the main technical contributor and architect for the frontend and backend for the payment system across finance; marketing, operations, and product.Since July, 2021 I transitioned to building the station payments system on our EV charging stations incorporating into the work previously done on cloud and mobile.
