WHAT IS ZKU.ONE? ZKU is an online course and informal study group, for software developers to learn how to build market-ready products in web3 using zero-knowledge proof technology. The goal is to launch a zk-product on mainnet with in a couple of months. This is no doubt challenging; we’re here to help. WHY ZK? ZK has the potential for revolutionizing how crypto ecosystems are engineered and engaged with. By verifying the correctness of computations without knowledge transfer, ZK enables development of a new class of faster and more scalable protocols (such as in the case of ZK-rollups). Applications utilizing ZK can keep user information 100% private, and can make sure that randomization processes are fair and resistant to collusion. The largest barrier preventing ZK dApps from being developed is a current lack of developer knowledge in ZK. Therefore, accessible and project-based education is the impetus for launching the next generation of industry-changing products. WHY TAKE THIS COURSE? In this 7-week intensive course, students will learn to build on top of existing tools, so as to be able to deploy an actual ZK-product on mainnet (ONE/ETH/xDAI/etc) in order to showcase their own ideas and learning. In other words, this is a practical hands-on course, with input and mentorship from industry experts. ZK is math-heavy, but we’ll try our best to make it intuitive, and allow students to learn by building things rather than solving equations by hand.
